Looking back at the old list...

I've not actively traded for a while, but I figure it would be worthwhile to check up on the list of stocks that I had screened for at one point to see how they did.

The list of stocks are: FRX, GGAL, RES, CVI, CVH, ARLP, POL, USHS, TSU, NPO, ZIXI, HITK, FRD
Dates to check from are: 7/7/2011 to today:

Stock: Start price, Current price, % change
FRX: -19%
GGAL: -47%
RES: -39%
CVI: -2.35%
ARLP: +0.8%
POL: -11%
USHS: +74.5%
TSU: -41.8%
NPO: -28%
ZIXI: -24%
HITK: +36%
FRD: -1.85%

So yeah... overall, pretty terrible results! Only two with large gains are HITK and USHS. I think the particular screener I had used then had a strong upward momentum while having good fundamentals. But it seems most of them broke the momentum and some of them are now at a local low.

Compared to S&P: -2% loss during that time.

  1. Of these, I'm still liking TSU, NPO and RES. I may look into long term options for these...
